Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are full of optimism after talkSPORT linked them with Roma striker Mattia Destro to improve Arsene Wenger’s attacking options.
The Gunners are lining up a January move for the wanted striker who has picked interest from several clubs around Europe including Chelsea and Tottenham.
The sheer amount of speculation has forced Destro to hold a meeting with the club’s board to discuss his future.
And reports suggest that the meeting was unsuccessful in Roma’s point of view and the agent of the 23-year-old is trying to force a move elsewhere.
Wenger is looking to add to his striking options after it was clear that the squad was missing Olivier Giroud’s presence when he was out injured.
And with the French tactician having £20m at his disposal he could look to capitalise on Destro’s uncertain situation and make a move for the player.
