Arsenal must demand this £36m-rated Man City ace in swap deal for Sanchez – Agreed?

Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely enthralled with their opening to the campaign, but they are keeping themselves well-grounded ahead of a defining month in the season…

The Citizens are showing all the qualities of potential champions so far this season. They have only failed to record victory in one match this term when they faced Everton back in August, and they achieved a 1-1 draw in that game despite falling behind and playing with ten men for over half the match. Champions are often characterised by their ability to find goals late on in matches where they perform well below their best, and City’s midweek victory against Southampton was notable proof that Pep Guardiola’s squad possesses the mentality of potential champions right now.

With the January transfer window now just one month away from reopening, City will be honing in on potential targets who can ensure the club achieve silverware this season.

And according to The Manchester Evening News, the North West outfit will renew their interest in Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez in January.

And if City are to go down this avenue once again, then Arsenal should attempt to bring Bernardo Silva to the club as part of a swap deal.

Since his summer arrival from Monaco, the 23-year-old has struggled to break into Guardiola’s first team with only two Premier League starts to his name thus far.

In Silva’s limited game time, he has demonstrated a natural composure on the ball and ability to use his body and low centre of gravity to protect the ball from opponents.

His style of play appears glaringly similar to that of his namesake and City teammate David Silva, and early indications suggest he could become one of the league’s top players in years to come.

Arsenal will inevitably need to replace their star playmaker Mesut Ozil next summer, and £36 million-rated Silva (as per Transfermarkt) represents an ideal and accessible candidate for manager Arsene Wenger to pursue during negotiations over Sanchez’s transfer to the Etihad Stadium.
