Arsenal fans are looking a little confused here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it has been claimed by IBTimes that the club are facing a major battle to land Real Madrid’s Gonazalo Higuain.
Italian champions Juventus are thought to be stepping up their bid for the player and are keen to get a deal tied up as soon as they can. Despite the fact that they walked to the Serie A title this season yet again with little trouble, the Old Lady are keen to do better in Europe and have identified Real Madrid man Gonzalo Higuain as a key acquisition to help their side do that.
They already have Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente arriving in the summer and their forward line is the area they want to improve the most this summer. That may be terrible news for Arsenal fans, but Liverpool fans will be glad that it is Pipita they are eying a move for – not their main man Luis Suarez who of course has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
Now that fourth place has been secured for Arsenal, now it seems that full attention is set to be turned to their chase for their top summer targets and as one of our punters quips, it better be soon if Juve are after the Argentine forward too.
