Metro have Arsenal fans looking up with some interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that Lukas Podolski will return to the club in the summer.
After being sent to Serie A on loan, Podolski has failed to impress Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini, who has made it very clear to both the player and his board that he does not want to shell out in order to make the switch permanent and even left the forward out of his Europa League squad.
The World Cup winner was asked about his future by Kicker and claimed: ‘As things stand now, I will return to London in the summer.’
Now as one of our punters notes, while he might be forced to return, he may as well keep those suitcases packed, with Arsenal looking to ship him out to the highest bidder – or any bidder at all.
