Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are considering their options after the Daily Telegraph explained how Arsene Wenger will look to Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus if Theo Walcott opts to move on.
Arsenal’s flying winger has been linked with moves away from the Emirates after struggling to break into the line up since returning from injury.
And the rumour mill is now speculating that Wenger has targeted Reus as a perfect alternative for the England international.
Reus will seamlessly settle into Wenger’s 4-2-3-1 system as he can operate anywhere behind the striker.
The German’s flair has provided plenty goals from attacking midfield, which is rare, with 53 goals in 111 games for Dortmund and he is now a regular in Germany’s squad.
But Wenger must be careful that he does not sign too many players who share the same position as this may unsettle some members the side.
Although on the other hand, with the Gunners’ notorious history with injuries, Wenger may be looking to have plenty of options available for when squad is running thin.
