Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have taken the encouraging news well regarding their youngster as Metro revealed Chuba Akpom could leave the club on loan this week.
Championship high-flyers Norwich City are the most likely suitors to give the England under-20 his opportunity to play first team football.
Akpom has been in and out of the Arsenal first team this season and Arsene Wenger initially told interested clubs he would not be available for loan.
But the situation has changed, with the season is coming to an end and the fact that Akpom recently signed a contract extension at Arsenal, he now has permission to strike a deal with the Canaries.
He could have a big role to play at Carrow Road as they fight for promotion back to Premier League, after getting relegated from the league last season.
Not only will it be a brilliant signing for Norwich but it gives Akpom the chance to prove himself to Wenger and the Arsenal fans.
