Arsenal team news: Emery handed boost as Aubameyang available for BATE trip

Arsenal will meet BATE Borisov in Belarus on Thursday night as they look to take a lead in their Europa League tie.

Unai Emery will want to see his side come away from the Eastern European nation with a win as they will want to hold an advantage over their opponents for the return leg.

And, according to the club’s official website, it would seem the Spaniard’s chances of victory have been handed a further boost.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been made available for the game after he returned to full training.

The £67.5million-rated ace, as per Transfermarkt, missed the win against Huddersfield Town at the weekend with an illness but has travelled with the squad.

Granit Xhaka is also available for the game after he recovered from a groin problem that he has been troubling him.

However, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey have both remained in London, as they look to deal with illness and a knee complaint respectively.

The Verdict:

BATE have the ability to pose a threat in Belarus, however, Arsenal will feel confident that they can get a result on the night.

Emery’s side are yet to taste defeat in the Europa League and it is a tournament the manager has tasted success in on numerous times.

Whether Aubameyang plays on Thursday or not remains to be seen, however, having him back available will be a boost to The Gunners.
