The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern all wish they still had Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud on their club’s payroll. The big French target-man was a hit in his time at The Emirates, scoring consistently under Arsene Wenger despite the fact he was often limited to substitute appearances. This time though, the fans wish he was still around for his looks.
Arsenal look to be setting up a new look side under Unai Emery, and with Sven Mislintat poaching ex-Dortmund teammates, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the club looks like they’ll have an exciting attacking force next season, especially if Emery can add some of his former PSG stars to the North London outfit’s squad. That does look very unlikely considering their summer finances this window though.
The club chose Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey to model their new kit this season but all the fans agree that if Giroud was still at the club then he would have been selected to wear the new strip as he has been many times in the past. It was a strange move to see the Frenchman make the switch across London to Chelsea in January, where he’s been a huge success.

The fans obviously have mixed feelings about the kit, although they all agree that if Giroud was at the club and modelling it then their opinions would be different as the fans miss the striker both on and off the pitch.
