‘As bad as Mangala’ – Man City fans on Twitter really not happy with transfer chase

The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting more and more aggravated with every day that passes as they await the signing of Jorginho from Napoli. The clubs have been locked in talks for what feels like weeks and with the latest news from TMW (via City Watch), it looks like this week could finally see the deal wrapped up, with a fee of around 50 million euros plus bonuses being discussed.

The City fans propping our bar up will be hoping that Pep Guardiola can get the club’s future deals over the line much quicker than this one. The Citizens’ interest in Napoli’s star man, Jorginho has been around for what feels like months now and after the Manchester club secured the Premier League title with a record 100-points last season, you wouldn’t think it would be too difficult in convincing some of Europe’s top stars to make the move to The Etihad.

However, the club seems to be failing to get Napoli on-side, with the player interested in the deal, the fee that is being paid reportedly the stumbling block. The fans will be praying that they get their man and that they can watch a midfield with Jorginho at the heart of it next season. The smart money would be on the 26-year-old to secure his move to Manchester, but when that move will go through is another question as the Sky Blues continue to wait.

As you can see, the mood among the City fans is frustration. The fans aren’t happy that Jorginho hasn’t been unveiled as they dream of the day they make their first summer signing.
