It is been a pretty joyful start to the season for the Liverpool supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern, with the club firmly in the mix for a title challenge at this stage of the campaign.
The Reds have played some explosive football of late and despite drawing 0-0 with Southampton at the weekend, the signs for the future are clearly positive.
With this season looking like Liverpool’s best chance of winning the Premier League for a few years, boss Jurgen Klopp will undoubtedly look to shape his squad further during the forthcoming transfer window.
That could spell bad news for some players, who might be offloaded to make way for some new recruits.
One Liverpool fan is puffing away on a cigarette here in the Tavern’s smoking area and he is of the belief that Alberto Moreno’s time at the club is over, stating that he should be the first to exit the club.

Daniel Sturridge
On his day, the England striker is still one of the best natural finishers in the country, but he simply doesn’t suit the style of play which Jurgen Klopp likes to deploy and that is a problem.
With starts coming at a premium at Liverpool, the striker would be wise to at least consider a move in order to play more first-team football.
One of our pool team members here in the Tavern agrees that Sturridge’s days are numbered, stating that Klopp would be better off signing a new striker that does fit into his style of football.
Mamadou Sakho
The French defender looks set to leave Anfield during January after spending the entire season keeping fit with the development squad.
With morale sky high at the club currently, the last thing boss Klopp needs is a ‘bad egg’ disrupting the team’s spirits and offloading Sakho is the best outcome for all parties.
One Liverpool fan is sipping one of the landlord’s legendary cocktails and he thinks the situation with Sakho is a shame, but concedes it is time for the player to move on.
