Barcelona: Fans angered by Ernesto Valverde’s substitution during win last night

Barcelona fans were fuming with boss Ernesto Valverde after he made a ‘controversial’ substitution in the 5-1 win over Real Valladolid in La Liga last night.

The coach of the Catalan giants brought off Ansu Fati instead of Luis Suarez during the finals moments of last night’s game.

Suarez went on to score the fifth and final goal in the encounter, his eighth of the campaign despite playing just 11 games across all competitions. In contrast, Fati hasn’t scored since his goal against Valencia in the middle of September.

Frustration from the Barcelona fans seems to stem from the minutes played by the two players. While the Uruguay international has completed 90 minutes for the last six games in a row, Fati has only just returned from a knee injury and was left on the bench for the two games before last night.

Fans were angered by the move from their manager as they took to Twitter to tweet their reactions.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Barcelona fans:

Barcelona fans, what did you make of the substitution of Fati instead of Suarez? Let us know your thoughts!
