Arsenal and Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been united in their concerns this morning, after it was reported that one star from each club is being eyed by a European giant.
The Express states Barcelona are eying a double-swoop for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and Everton defender John Stones.
Barcelona have just seen a transfer ban, which prevented them making any signings in 2015, expire and the Catalan giants are determined to come back with a bang. They managed to lure Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan despite their ban, though Luis Enrique’s plans are far from finished.
Stones would bolster the club’s defensive line, likely partnering Gerard Pique in the heart of defence, whilst Ramsey would join a talented wealth of midfielders- perhaps being deemed as the ideal midfield successor to Andres Iniesta.
Our landlord isn’t quite sure Ramsey would fit into Barcelona’s first-team midfield though and believes he’d be better off remaining in North London.
Arsenal fans, would you sell Ramsey for £50m? Let us know in the comments below!
