Our Middlesbrough fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait for the season to get going as they are expecting their side to seriously contend for the Championship title.
Of all the Premier League sides to get relegated last season the men from the Riverside are easily the ones who have dealt with relegation the best with most of their side being kept together.
Indeed, we should not be surprised by the quick stabilisation of the club with Steve Gibson and he has moved to bring in a typically solid manager – Garry Monk.
For sure, then, Boro fans are hoping for a quick return to the top flight and Monk has taken to Twitter to give an update on how well training is going so far.
