‘Better than Diego Costa’ - Chelsea fans praise star after club’s Twitter post

Blues fans here in the Tavern are delighted with the start their January signing made to proceedings, as Olivier Giroud seems to have already become a favourite at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea supporters feared the worst when Diego Costa departed the club after gifting them a Premier League title, as it was no easy job to find a suitable replacement for one of the world’s best strikers. Indeed, Antonio Conte’s decision to end Costa’s legacy at the club caused for a fair few of our local residents to become extremely angered.

Although, it wasn’t until the January transfer window that the Blues finally acquired their replacement, as Conte looked to London rivals Arsenal for the services of Olivier Giroud. And, the memories of Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge now seem to be forgotten, as the former Gunner got off to a sensational start after managing to create an assist in his first start for the club.

Nevertheless, after racking up some more minutes for the Blues in their 3-0 Premier League victory over West Brom, Chelsea’s Twitter account took to posting comments made by their new striker after the match.

Following the club’s post, fans were quick to praise their new signing for his performance against the Baggies, as all the attention now surrounds a future with the Frenchman in their side.
