The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are keeping up to date with all of the action featuring their side’s players in the World Cup.
The Reds enjoyed a fantastic term last season, with a flurry of players enjoying brilliant performances, and their fine displays earned them roles with their respective teams this summer – provided that they qualified.
One such player was Dejan Lovren. He arguably didn’t have the best season, but he was good enough to earn a spot on the plane with Croatia, and he’s played a crucial role so far in the tournament.
His best display yet came on Thursday against Argentina, with the 28-year-old delivering a resolute, unstoppable and commanding performance.
