Bielsa must start Saiz and Clarke against Sheffield United

Leeds United can thank Bailey Peacock-Farrell for their midweek victory at Elland Road as he saved a penalty in the dying embers.

The Whites are starting to build up ahead of steam again having won their last two Championship fixtures, with an automatic promotion place well within their sights.

Leeds United will travel to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United in their next Championship fixture. The Blades are one of the Whites’ main promotion rivals, so they’ll be desperate to secure three points to take the upper-hand in the race for automatic promotion.

Therefore, Marcelo Bielsa must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Leeds players…

SAMU SAIZ

Samu Saiz been a regular on the substitutes’ over the past month at Leeds United due to the lack of quality he has shown throughout the current campaign.

The Spaniard was the Whites’ standout performer last season and many supporters thought he would play an even bigger part in the current campaign, but it has been the complete opposite.

However, after witnessing Lewis Baker’s horrific performance against Reading in the middle of the park last time out, it’s about time Bielsa put his faith back in the 27-year-old.

JACK CLARKE

Jack Clarke has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in English football this season having enjoyed his breakthrough at Elland Road under Marcelo Bielsa.

The youngster has outshone some of the first-team regulars already this season as he continues to come on leaps and bounds in the side, but a regular starting place is yet to be achieved by the winger.

So, with an all-important match against Sheffield United coming up later on today, Bielsa should look at replacing the ineffective Ezgjan Alioski with the 18-year-old, as he could cause the Blades problems by getting in behind their adventurous full-backs.
