‘Bigger statement of intent than van Dijk’ - Liverpool fans want £63m-rated ace at Anfield

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are still recovering from their side’s loss in the Champions League final, and it’s fair to say that a lot of attention has been placed on Loris Karius in recent days.

The German was, of course, at fault for a few of Liverpool’s problems on Saturday, and it’s fair to say that two of the goals that Jurgen Klopp’s men conceded can be put down to goalkeeping error.

You have to feel a bit of sympathy for him, of course, but it isn’t the first time that this has happened at Liverpool over the last few years, and so something clearly has to change.

Fortunately, the Reds appear to be keen to do something this summer, and according to the Mirror, Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid is their first choice shot-stopper.

Of course, as the Mirror report, a move won’t be easy, but it’s the intent from Liverpool that is pleasing fans.

They’re desperate to land Oblak, who is rated at £63 million by Transfer Markt, and one fan even thinks that the deal would turn them into title contenders.
