It would appear many of the Birmingham City faithful do not want to see Pep Clotet use both Lukas Jutkiewicz and Alvaro Gimenez in the same side moving forward.
Despite the Blues managing to come from a goal behind to take a point against Millwall at St. Andrews on Saturday afternoon (BBC), a lot of the fanbase on social media took to Twitter after the conclusion of the game to lament the forward combination.
A plethora of supporters had stated that they did not feel that it was a partnership that was working, with many suggesting that a striker may have to be brought in once the January transfer window opens.
Indeed, when looking at the individual data for each player via WhoScored, both men were largely ineffective in the final third of the pitch and it is hardly a surprise there is some concern from those in the stands.
Jutkiewicz managed to take just two shots, whilst Gimenez only managed the one – with neither individual creating much more.
Many of the supporters called for Clotet to make a change to the way he sets his team up in the future and do not want to see that particular pairing again.
