‘Bring back Caulker’ - Liverpool fans on Twitter react to Klopp’s injury update

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the latest injury update on the club’s English midfielder, Adam Lallana. The 29-year-old was forced off the pitch against Crystal Palace just a few minutes after coming on as a substitute in the second half and the club have tweeted a link to the Liverpool website providing an update on the fitness of the playmaker.

Lallana has suffered through a tough season so far in 2017/18. He’s missed a number of months through injury and just when it seemed the midfielder could gain some momentum and get some minutes under his belt, his awful luck struck again against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Liverpool face Manchester City tomorrow in the biggest game of the season for both clubs. A place in the Champions League semi-finals is at stake for the winner and both clubs will have their eyes on the ultimate prize.

Sadly for Adam Lallana, he won’t be able to face City tomorrow and is also a doubt for next weeks second leg against Pep Guardiola’s side. Jurgen Klopp has had to be extremely patent with Lallana, who now looks set to miss out on a place on the plane to Russia in summer as other names who have had more minutes will no doubt be looked at instead of the two-footed creator. The news is sure to upset Liverpool fans who wouldn’t be surprised to see their man leave in the summer having failed to make an impact this year with his consistent injury problems.
