Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling a little flat at the moment after their side could only draw at home to Liverpool at the weekend.

The Red Devils faithful here by the bar were expecting them to carry on their run of wins against an out of form Reds side but their Merseyside rivals reminded everyone just why they’re in the title race with a good performance of their own.

Both giants of the game are looking to win the division this season, though, and so this January window is set to prove vital in terms of who gets the edge for the remainder of the campaign.

According to The Sun, though, there could be some outgoings for United this month, too, with Ashley Young being linked with a move to China.

That would mark another moment in Jose Mourinho’s squad revolution but, according to our landlord, it may not end there this month with these two who could also go…

Memphis Depay

Depay really doesn’t seem to be a favourite of Mourinho’s and so could leave.

The Dutch winger came to United under Louis Van Gaal with a huge reputation but thus far he hasn’t got close to translating that onto Premier League pitches. A move could be best for all involved, then, and with him only in his early-20’s there’s still time for him to prove himself elsewhere.

Marcus Rashford

The Sun reckon Marcus Rashford could be set for a loan move to Sevilla in what would be a sensational deal.

The young striker has seen his growth stunted by Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming in and so he’s had to make do with appearances out wide. That simply won’t do for his potential, though, and our landlord reckons if he’s given the chance to lead the line for an exciting Sevilla side it could be the making of him.
