Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern think that their club is on the brink of something special under Antonio Conte at the moment.

The Blues are absolutely cruising to the Premier League title at the moment and it’s going to take a very unlikely turn of events to see someone else steal in and take the crown from them.

We could be on the brink of exciting Antonio Conte era, then, but it appears – as per The Sun – that Dominic Solanke at least, may not be part of that.

He’s being tipped for a move to Liverpool instead and so that would surely open the door for another striker to arrive at the club.

Indeed, the likes of TMW have recently suggested the talented Andrea Belotti could be on his way to the club and so our landlord reckons it could be time for Chelsea to go with two strikers up top. Here’s how it could work…

Belotti is very much one of the most exciting young players in Europe at the moment and it must be only a matter of time before he moves on to Torino to play for one of the continent’s finest sides.

He’s got the ability to run off defenders, work the channels and be a poacher in the box and so Chelsea would be getting a player that can already do a great deal, with him only set to get better potentially alongside this man…

ST: Diego Costa

If Chelsea can bring in Belotti and keep Diego Costa at the club then they will really take some serious stopping.

Costa is a world-class forward and could work in pretty much any attacking system with the way he can run at defenders or hold the ball up. He’d likely be the powerhouse in this striking duo and our landlord thinks if he can nurture Belotti the Blues would soon have two world-class strikers.
