Marco Silva’s side have had a very quiet January transfer window.
Despite being perched in 8th position in the Premier League at the moment, Everton do not look too involved in any late transfer dealings before the window slams shut.
The Toffees could do with another attacking outlet for Silva to choose from as the side seem to lack a natural goalscorer that fits the boss’ system, whether that is to happen or not we will have to wait and see.
However, the lack of dealings could work in favour of other players. With that being said, let’s take a look at the biggest winners of the current crop of players from Everton’s transfer window.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
With no striker being brought to Goodison Park, this leaves two likely options going forward for the rest of the season.
Given that Cenk Tosun has not started a League game for nearly two months, Richarlison could continue to take centre stage up front, or if the Brazillian was to feature more so out wide, then Calvert-Lewin could be afforded more game time starting at striker.
The 21-year-old has featured in all but two Premier League games, however, he has only started eight in the League. If he is able to take his game to the next level with some eye-catching cameos, not signing a striker could be the chance he needs to stake a claim for a starting spot if he is to perform.
Ademola Lookman
In the event that Richarlison remains up top as a result of a forward not being brought in, this would allow Lookman to continue his run of games in the League, following a spell on the sidelines with injury.
His bright substitute appearances could not be ignored and that is why he has finally got his chance.
If Richarlison remains up front, Bernard can then continue his spell on the left-wing, meaning Lookman then has one less player to compete with for his spot out-right- the more opportunities he gets will only enhance his development.
