‘Can we sign him back up?’ - Chelsea fans are loving Stamford Bridge icon on Twitter

Ahead of the legends game at Stamford Bridge between former Chelsea and Inter Milan heroes on Friday, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been building up to the fixture.

Practically every day, Chelsea have been sharing details about the clash in one way or another, and they’ve regularly been showcasing the Blues’ preparations.

One player that they’ve showcased this week has been Gianfranco Zola. Undoubtedly a Chelsea icon, the Italian was a maestro at Stamford Bridge. Producing magic from set pieces, incredible goals when they’re needed most, and bringing a brilliant attitude too, the 51-year-old was a hero of many fans growing up.

Given Chelsea’s struggles this season, particularly going forward, a player like Zola in his pomp would be just what Antonio Conte needs, and that’s what fans have been saying online.
