Our Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that it’s going to be third time lucky in 2017/18 when it comes down to getting promotion to the Premier League.
Indeed, for the past two seasons the Owls have made the play-offs before falling short and so now Carlos Carvalhal and his men need to make sure they learn from the experience.
For sure, there is a positive vibe about Wednesday even if they have been set-back twice and you have to say that they are one of the favourites to get promotion next season.
Certainly, they have some hope for the future anyway when you consider George Hirst’s talent after he scored his latest hat-trick for England.
