Most talk this week on transfer activity at Celtic has been about the possible departure of Moussa Dembele much to the disappointment of supporters.
However, the mood could be about to lighten a little at Celtic Park with the SPL champions having announced the signing of Youssouf Mulumbu on a two-year deal.
Speaking on his move to Celtic on the club’s official website, Mulumbu said: “I walked on to the pitch when I signed and it felt amazing. These are the reasons we play football.
“My immediate focus is to stay fit and ready and be 100 per cent ready. I’ve played at Celtic Park as the opposition and it’s a special place to play, so I’m looking forward to being part of the team and playing there.”
The arrival of £900k-rated (via Transfermarkt) Mulumbu will definitely add some more steel to Celtic’s midfield, and the 31-year-old has the kind of experience that will bring much to Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
