Celtic are in danger of losing one of their most prized assets with Moussa Dembele’s future at the club looking increasingly uncertain.
Speaking on the Frenchman ahead of Celtic’s Europa League second leg play-off round clash versus FK Suduva tomorrow, manager Brendan Rodgers said (via STV News): “He’s not going to be here forever, that’s was always part of his plan, as it is for a lot of the European boys.
“They come in to develop at a great club and then look to move on, but it has to work both ways.
“We don’t want to lose a a top-class player without having a replacement so it’s ongoing discussions, really.”
With the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Scott Sinclair, Celtic have more than enough in their arsenal — or at least in comparison to the rest of the SPL — to win an eighth Scottish league title in a row.
However, losing a player of Dembele’s quality will have many questioning Celtic’s European ambitions.
