Celtic fans on Twitter sceptical about latest development on Ntcham

As far as transfers go, it has been doom and gloom for Celtic supporters with the club yet to strengthen key areas of the squad with deadline day fast approaching.

As well as the above, the future of Moussa Dembele has also given the Celtic faithful something to worry about with Ligue 1 outfit Lyon said to be interested in the Frenchman (via BBC Sport).

However, there is some good news for fans of the SPL champions with manager Brendan Rodgers confirming Olivier Ntcham is in talks over a new deal.

Speaking in his most recent pre-match press conference (via the Scottish Sun), Rodgers said: “We’re not ready to sell. When we took Olivier here, there was a plan for him and his situation has come up earlier than we’d have thought.

“He and his representatives are in discussions about a new deal so hopefully it could be finalised soon.”

£2.7m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Ntcham has quickly become a key player at Celtic Park, and the 22-year-old is of the calibre the Bhoys need if they are to progress as a club.
