Celtic fans on Twitter were in awe of Edouard after his Hibs brace

The fand got their money’s worth when they packed into a bouncing Parkhead yesterday. It a battle between Celtic managers past and present as Neil Lennon’s Hibs came to face Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic and it was the Hoops who came out on top, winning 4-2 as Odsonne Edouard scored twice on the day.

The win for the Bhoys saw them rise to 2nd place and it was a win that they thoroughly deserved. The first half was one-way traffic as Rodgers’ side scored twice through Tom Rogic and Olivier Ntcham and went in at half-time 2-0 up, despite the fact they also rattled the woodwork three times. Then, in the second half, it was the Edouard show as the Frenchman grabbing two goals, both to restore his side’s two-goal lead after Hibs pulled goals back.

Hibs are not an easy side to just brush away and Celtic did a superb job of putting them to the sword at Parkhead. Having an in-form Edouard always helps, though, and his brace yesterday took him up to eight for the season in his 16 appearances so far. That tally will be one that the Hoops will be keen to see only be increased as the games carry on coming. Next up for Edouard and co is a trip to Germany to face RB Leipzig and the Bhoys would love to see him net away in Europe.
