On Thursday evening, Celtic fell to a 2-0 loss at the hands of RB Leipzig in Germany. Brendan Rodgers has come under fire since for seemingly prioritising this Sunday’s clash against Hearts in the Betfred Scottish League Cup Semi-Final. Rodgers made numerous changes to a side he would usually start in Europe, opting for the likes of Ryan Christie and Eboue Kouassi in midfield and Lewis Morgan in the front two. Ahead of Sunday’s game, in his press conference, he was asked about his squad and provided his thoughts on some of the changes he made, which confused some of the Bhoys’ fans to say the least.
BR: “This is why we have a competitive squad. Christie, Morgan and Kouassi all came in last night with little game time and did well.” #BetfredCup

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of their thoughts.
The vast majority of Celtic fans were not in agreeance with Rodgers.

Eh no, they didn’t. Unless I was asleep in the Red Bull Arena. Pretty sure I wasn’t.

Kouassi was shocking. He’s not Celtic class

One fan was more understanding that Rodgers wouldn’t openly slate his players ahead of a Cup Semi-Final.
