The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed that on-loan star Patrick Roberts has suffered an injury.
The young winger has been very impressive over the past season and a half for the Bhoys and now they are eyeing another youthful Manchester City player as his replacement.
According to The Mirror, Celtic are among the clubs hoping to bring in Phil Foden on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.
A number of Premier League and Championship sides are also in the hunt for Manchester City’s talented youngster but the Premier League leaders are reportedly not interested in sending their prize starlet out on loan.
The 17-year-old is considered to be one of the best young players in England after spearheading the England under-17 side to World Cup glory last summer.
Foden scored twice in the final and won the Player of the Tournament trophy, further adding to his burgeoning reputation.
But rather than farming him out on loan, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants the talented teenager to continue his education by training with his first team squad.
Foden has already made his competitive first team debut and is highly regarded at The Etihad so they will probably resist any attempts from Celtic or other clubs to draft him in on loan.
