The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a repeat of their domestic success plus improvements in the European competitions ahead of next season.
After completing the double treble in the last two seasons, improvements maybe hard to come by for Brendon Rodgers and his side but beating Rangers to the title will always motivate them to succeed again. Their ultimate aim next season should be to upset the European giants by progressing further into the Champions League. With qualification soon to be on the horizon, our punters believe that Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke, (who is valued at £9 million on Transfermarkt) would be a great forward to add to their side in order to make progression that little bit easier.
The Englishman has found game-time limited at Liverpool, mainly because of the top talent that stands in his way. However, when coming off the bench, Solanke has shown potential and ability to prove that for a club like Celtic, he could be a very influential player in their bid for more success.
Solanke managed 1 Premier League goal last season but that buzz of scoring in the toughest league in the world could give him the confidence to improve his performances for a team like Celtic who could be interested in his signature.
The Hoops are already blessed with solid attacking options but Solanke would bring something different to Celtic Park, his pace and power could cause a lot of problems for Scottish oppositions and should he find his goalscoring touch from a few years ago, the deal to bring him to Celtic could work well for both parties.
