Chelsea and Liverpool fans are eagerly coming over to the bar in the Football Transfer Tavern, as the landlord is showing everyone an article from the Express that claims Emmanuel Emenike is preparing for a summer move to England.
The 27-year-old Fenerbahce striker has been a transfer target for Chelsea and Liverpool for some time, and this news will certainly add further fuel to this speculation!
Emenike was the subject of disgusting racial abuse from supporters in a recent Fenerbahce home match, and the Nigerian subsequently subbed himself off of the pitch, and we in the Transfer Tavern don’t blame him.
A source close to Emenike told AfricanFootball.com: “Emenike is not happy with what he is going through with the Fenerbahce fans.
“He is preparing his mind to be fit for a possible summer move.
“He has lots of options which include teams from Italy, but England looks like his next destination.”
Chelsea and Liverpool fans over by the billiards table in the Transfer Tavern are deliberating the deal, with many of them admitting they’ve only ever seen Emenike play in the Champions League! But, many of them admit that they would like to see the striker ply his trade in the Premier League.
