There isn’t a single punter in the Football Transfer Tavern that wouldn’t like to see him at their club…
Diego Simeone has recently been linked, as per the Daily Mirror, with a move to the Premier League. They are reporting that upon the expiry of his contract at Atletico Madrid in 2018, the Argentine boss wants to join the ever-growing number of top managers in the Premier League – and that prospect has got the punters in the Tavern very excited.
Simeone’s only problem, at present, is that most of the top clubs in the Premier League are embarking on long-term managerial projects, so his options could be limited.
However, 2 years is a very long time in football; and a lot can change. With managers like Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte seemingly unlikely to hang around for more than a few years – could Simeone be next in line?
Perhaps even Tottenham or Liverpool could be seeking a new boss by then?
Anything can happen between now and 2018 – but which club should he join?
