Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern sinking pint after pint after another forgetful weekend are growing concerned by reports suggesting not much will change in West London.
The Daily Star state that Roman Abramovich will give more time to under-fire boss Jose Mourinho, despite a 1-0 loss to Stoke City at the weekend that sealed three consecutive Premier League defeats and seven losses in 12 league games this term.
Crucially, the fans still have Mourinho’s back and this is proving to be his saving grace at the moment- although he remains under intense pressure to increase the Blues’ performances.
Chelsea sensationally sit just three points above the relegation zone as we edge closer to having a third of the season played, whilst sitting 13 points already being fourth-placed Manchester United suggests Champions League football next season is extremely unlikely.
Whilst fans in the bar accept there isn’t many managers out there better than Mourinho, they are concerned by the lack of form shown by their side and the fact that their Portuguese boss has never found himself in a position like this before.
