The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been shocked at how well their side has done this season…
Not even the most optimistic of the Chelsea fans in the Tavern would have predicted that the Blues would be topping the table at Christmas – but Antonio Conte has made it so.
Admittedly, it was a fairly poor start to the season from the Blues – with defeats against Arsenal and Liverpool really halting their title credentials – but they have bounced back fantastically.
Conte has now led his side to 10 wins in a row, and a few of the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are touting them to continue in that vein for the rest of the season.
Rivals fans say their record is going to end each week, but Conte and his men keep defying the odds – and a win against Sunderland has extended their fantastic run even further.
With that said, the Chelsea fans in attendance think that Chelsea can seriously go unbeaten all season, here’s 2 reasons why..
Success So Far
So far, Chelsea have looked unstoppable.
The Blues are yet to lose in the Premier League since switching to a 3-4-3, and there is no reason why that won’t continue.
In fact, the Blues have never really looked like losing, with fantastic performances easily putting the likes of Tottenham and Man City away.
With some of the hardest fixtures of the season already done and dusted, Chelsea will likely be favourites for most games from here on out – and there is a reason for that. So far this season, they have been unstoppable – and that will likely continue.
Squad Depth
Antonio Conte also deserves credit for the fact that he has won so many games – yet used so few players.
The Italian has largely relied on a group of 11 players or so thus far, leaving a host of players fresh and waiting on the sidelines.
Even if Chelsea suffer an injury or 2, they have the likes of Batshuayi, Willian, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek and Mikel on the sidelines – amongst many others.
The Blues have so much quality in their side, and that will see them through to the other side with ease.
