Metro have Chelsea fans smiling here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Blues have concluded their first bit of January business.
Despite Jose Mourinho claiming that the Blues will not be buying anyone this winter, it seems they could be set for a busy window after all with 18-year-old Serbian midfielder Danilo Pantic joining from Partizan Belgrade.
Now as one of our punters notes over a pint, the Blues will have yet another midfielder to accommodate but in the least surprising news since Diego Costa getting into a scrap after the Liverpool game, Jose Mourinho has opted to send him straight out on loan to Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of the season.
The Serb goes with the promise that a good spell in the Eredivisie will see him brought back to Stamford Bridge and installed into the first team.
Now given the Blues have one of the best youth sides around, it is no certainty that Pantic will enjoy a long-term career in West London but Blues boss Mourinho certainly seems to rate the starlet and for now, that is good enough for us.
