Chelsea fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are gloating, after hearing the news from the Express, that the Blues are set to beat Manchester United to the signing of Andre Gomes from Valencia in the summer.
Gomes, 21, joined the La Liga outfit from Benfica last summer and has gone on to impress for the Spanish club, subsequently attracting interest from a number of large European clubs.

Gomes has been a prevalent figure in the Portugal national side’s youth setup, having plied his trade for the Portuguese under-17 side, all the way up to the senior side.
