Chelsea eye January move for Europe’s deadliest striker

Alex TeixeiraChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited to hear reports that the club is preparing a move for a man who is currently the deadliest striker in European football.

The Daily Mail states Chelsea are keen to complete a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira, who has scored 16 goals already this season- averaging a goal every 62 minutes, more than in-form Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

25-year-old Brazilian Teixeira has handed Chelsea a boost by stating he is open to a move, whilst confirming that he has an offer on the table from the struggling Premier League outfit.

‘I have an offer. It was a pleasure to know that Chelsea wants to sign me. It would be great if the transfer already happens in January.’

His comments could convince Chelsea to make a formal approach, with it clear Teixeira would have no issues settling in west London as the Blues boast a strong quote of Brazilian stars; including Ramires and Oscar.
