Chelsea are set to take on Liverpool this evening, but the build-up to the game is, at present, being dominated by a player that the Blues can’t actually select against the Reds. Despite all of the talent at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea fans online simply can’t stop talking about a player that’s currently away from the club on loan.
Despite the Blues having dozens of players out on loan, it’s fair to say that only a few have generated headlines so far this term, and Mason Mount has undoubtedly made more than most.
Currently away at Derby, the Englishman has been taken on by Stamford Bridge legend Frank Lampard, the new manager of the Rams, and it’s fair to say that he’s found a gem in Mount.
After a stellar campaign with Vitesse last season, Mount has transitioned to the Championship brilliantly, and that form has also extended to cup action.
He played for Derby on Tuesday night as the Rams took on Man Utd, and Mount was undoubtedly one of the best players on the pitch. Controlling the midfield with his brilliant range of passing and dribbling, it’s fair to say that Chelsea fans online have been very impressed by him.
