It’s all been good for Chelsea on the pitch this season, and it’s looking like matters off the field are improving too.
Crucial Chelsea man Marcos Alonso has recently revealed that he’s on course to sign a new deal at Chelsea, according to the Mirror, with the Spaniard happy to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Though perhaps not the most popular man at Chelsea, there is no doubting his importance. Alonso has been a regular at Chelsea this term, and he’s impressed both at the back and going forward.
He’s already got 1 goal and 2 assists in the league this season, and given his form as of late, it seems like it will only be a matter of time until that improves even further.
Keeping him at the club, then, is a fantastic move for Chelsea, and it’s one that is popular amongst fans. Many Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the news, and it’s fair to say they’re very happy indeed.
