Whilst it’s been a good season for nearly everyone at Chelsea, one man that hasn’t had the best time of it is young Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
After a stellar year at Crystal Palace and a spell in Russia for his first World Cup with England, Loftus-Cheek was widely expected to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
However, thus far that just hasn’t happened. He’s struggled to make an impact under Maurizio Sarri, and he now finds himself behind Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic in the pecking order at the club.
Perhaps more surprisingly, the Chelsea fans on Reddit have been reacting to the news, and they appear to be fairly positive on the matter. Indeed, they seem pretty happy for Loftus-Cheek to depart on loan, with many viewing it as the best move for his career.
