Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased to see that their football club is being given back to the supporters, after it was revealed they hold the cards regarding the future of their under-fire manager.
The Daily Star claims that Jose Mourinho will only be dismissed if Chelsea’s supporters grow frustrated of him, with the Portuguese boss seemingly having the backing of the fans for the time being.
Despite six Premier League defeats from 11 games, and controversies off the field, the fans still show support for the manager who won them the league title last season- though that could swiftly turn if results don’t improve.
According to a source close to Roman Ambramovich, Mourinho is safe for now with the fans support.
“Roman’s well aware the supporters are still behind Jose and if he was to sack him it would a very unpopular decision with most of them. Honestly nobody knows what he will do and how long he will let this go on.”
“But if the fans start to turn against Jose it will make it a whole lot easier for him to get rid of him.”
Chelsea now face a crucial run of fixtures in their season, hosting Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League tomorrow evening before a difficult trip to face Stoke City in the Premier League. From there, the Blues clash with Norwich City, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Tottenham Hotspur.
