Although Chelsea front man Michy Batshuayi is yet to start a league match for Chelsea this season, his performances for the west London club have been impressive.

The Belgian striker has three goals and two assists to his name in all competitions so far, with his latest contribution coming in Sunday’s 4-1 win over Southampton.

Batshuayi scored Chelsea’s fourth of the afternoon after coming off the substitutes’ bench to seal a convincing win for the Blues on the south coast, and kissed the club’s crest when he reeled off in celebration at St Mary’s – something that has gone down a storm with the Blues faithful.
The form of leading man Tammy Abraham – who currently has eight league goals to his name this term – means that Batshuayi is likely to find starts hard to come by at Stamford Bridge right now, though there is no doubting his effectiveness from the bench.

Loved seeing that also, he can be a huge impact sub for us this season, even starting some games if needed. His finishing has always been superb. I’m just thinking how fresh subs like Michy and Pulisic can really change a match, when coming on with fresh legs in the final 30.
