Chelsea impressed yet again last weekend, and now they’re set to return to a competition in which they’ve had a lot of success already this season – the Europa League. The Blues have got a 100% record in their Europa League campaign so far, which is a fantastic foundation from which they can continue to build.
They can take control of their group with a win against BATE on Thursday, and the Blues certainly should be able to do that. They dispatched of BATE 3-1 last time out owing to a hat-trick from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and the club controlled the game throughout.
So, Maurizio Sarri’s men should be confident going into the game.
One player, though, that Chelsea fans aren’t expecting to see is Victor Moses. The Nigerian hasn’t featured much this season, and though he was featured on a Chelsea promotional image for the tie, it seems as though fans don’t think that will be a hint of what’s to come.
