Maurizio Sarri cannot catch a break right now with the Italian handed a massive injury blow heading into Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final clash against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Italian earlier confirmed in his Europa League pre-match press conference (via Chelsea’s official Twitter) for tomorrow’s Malmo game that first-choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has picked up a hamstring injury.
Kepa could now be a doubt for the huge fixtures versus Pep Guardiola’s side and Tottenham, leaving Willy Caballero having to likely stand in during this crucial period of Chelsea’s season.
Caballero has barely featured for the Blues this term, which will come as a worry to supporters with a rusty goalkeeper being the last thing they need in this moment of time.
Having made it all the way to the Carabao Cup final while being in the Europa League instead of the Champions League, it is a surprise Sarri has not used Caballero more often this campaign, a decision he could now regret.
You can have a look at how Chelsea fans are taking the news about Kepa’s injury below…

Kepa has a hammy issue that better just be Sarri’s way of saying we’re resting him.
