After a shock 4-0 defeat away at Bournemouth, the mood at Chelsea was starting to lighten up again following a 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
However, that change in mood was not to last long with an RMC interview (via Evening Standard) of star man Eden Hazard revealing he has made a decision on his future recently being released.
The Belgian is believed to be eyeing up a dream move to Real Madrid as his contract runs down with the Telegraph reporting that Chelsea could now target Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho to fill the void their talisman’s departure would leave.
The Blues, of course, will also have Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic to call upon after signing the 20-year-old last month.
Pulisic has since returned to Dortmund on loan until the end of the season and scored an impressive goal last night in his side’s German Cup elimination to Werder Bremen.
For all of the potential and skill the USA international has, though, his arrival alone will not be enough for Chelsea should Hazard depart.
