Chelsea bounced back from their poor performance against Valencia in their Champions League curtain-raiser a fortnight ago by beating French outfit Lille 2-1 away from home last night.

Tammy Abraham put in another stellar performance for the Blues, opening the scoring inside the first 22 minutes, before Victor Osimhen levelled things for the hosts just 11 minutes later.
Willian won the game for Frank Lampard’s men late on in the second half, assisted by substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an Achilles injury.
The 18-year-old made his senior return last week, scoring as Chelsea thrashed Grimsby 7-1 at Stamford Bridge, and came on for the final 27 minutes against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday, where he bagged an assist in a 2-0 win for the Blues in west London.
The young England international was introduced off the substitutes’ bench again last night and made an instant impact by setting up Willian’s match-winner.
Unsurprisingly, Hudson-Odoi’s recent contributions have gone down a storm with fans on Twitter…
