The Chelsea faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern can’t work out how they feel about David Luiz’s return to Chelsea; but the Blues on Twitter are unanimous in their opinion…
It was the story of Transfer Deadline Day, and Chelsea finally confirmed David Luiz’s signing shortly before the 11:00pm deadline.
The news was greeted with mixed reviews here in the Tavern, with many of the Chelsea faithful willing to hold judgment until the Brazilian has made his second debut in a Blue shirt.
It is a different story online however, with the Chelsea fans on Twitter seemingly absolutely delighted with the deal.
Luiz’s history with the Blues has brought him close to the heart of a great many Chelsea fan, and they will be hoping that he gets back to his best during his second tenure with the club.

It looks like the Chelsea faithful online are in agreement. Absolutely unanimous.
One big point that a couple of fans brought up is how important Antonio Conte will be; he could be the manager to drill out the defensive mistakes that Luiz has become renowned for in recent years.
If he can do that – the Blues could well have one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
