On the hour mark during last night’s Europa League encounter between Chelsea and PAOK, Callum Hudson-Odoi marked his first start in the competition with his first senior goal. Hudson-Odoi recieved the ball on the left-wing, before doing what he does best and drove towards the Greek outfit’s backline, then opening his body up yet finding the bottom corner of the near post.
The England youth international said he could not believe it, and that “I thought it was just a dream”, he told BT Sport via Goal. He added: “I’ve just got to keep working hard in training.” If he does so, and impresses when provided opportunities, Chelsea fans could see the 18-year-old add to his 185 minutes of senior football under his belt this season, which they would be sure to enjoy. The goal has got a lot of Chelsea fans talking.
