With the Premier League edging ever closer, Chelsea will need to have a very good few weeks. The Blues are yet to really upgrade their squad in the way that most expected, especially given how poor they were last season.
Jorginho is, still, the only major signing the club have made, and that’s simply not good enough.
However, the club are making moves, it seems, at least with regards to their goalkeeping situation. According to Sky Sports Newes, Everton star Jordan Pickford has been identified as the club’s primary transfer target in the event that Thibaut Courtois leaves the club this summer.
Pickford is, of course, a bit of a hero amongst English football fans as of late, with the goalkeeper impressing for the Three Lions during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Those performances came on the back of a pretty decent campaign for Everton last term, and so Pickford – who is rated at £31.5 million by Transfer Markt – is certainly enjoying a good run of form.
Chelsea appear to have recognised that, and it’s proving to be a popular decision online.

Much more optimistic on Chelsea's goalkeeper situation now that Jordan Pickford is the main target.
Not as good as Courtois, not world-class yet either, but need a sweeper-keeper in Sarri's system and Pickford is about as good as we can get currently.
